We have it all in North Jutland

North Jutland can offer you everything you desire. The sea, the wild nature, fishing, opportunities for exercise, museums, shopping, restaurants and cafes. But most importantly of all: the people of North Jutland are friendly and polite people who are very proud of their beautiful part of Denmark

Sæby - it doesn't get any cozier than that

As something very special, we are located in the middle of nature, but at the same time only a short walk along the sea from the provincial town, Sæby.

It is not without reason that Sæby is called little Skagen. Here you also have the beach, the sea, the beautiful yellow houses, music events and cafes.  But there are not quite so many people here.

Sæby is cozy in the evening, e.g. when the flag is played down on the harbor at 9 pm during the school summer holidays and ends with an open-air concert.

Fårup Sommerland

Spend a day at Fårup Sommerland, an hour's drive from here.

Here you'll find roller coasters, pony rides, canoes and Denmark's largest water park. Once you've paid the entrance fee, you can just give it a try.

As a guest with us, you get a 10% discount on the entrance fee if you book online.

Tiger, seals and falcon show

If you are into wild animals, there is also something for you in North Jutland. Spend a day at Aalborg Zoo (50 km from Hedebo) with e.g. the polar bears.

In Bindslev (30 km from Hedebo) is the eagle sanctuary, Eagleworld, with many birds of prey. In Hirtshals (55 km) you can see fish and seals in the North Sea Oceanarium.

And if you just want to experience the Danish nature in our part of the country, you just have to walk outside your door. Here you'll find deers, hares, birds, fishes and so on...

Museums and attractions

The Ancher Museum and the sandy church in Skagen, the Kunsten in Aalborg, Bangsbo Fort, Sæbygaard Castle, Sæby Coastal Museum, etc. are all within driving distance from Hedebo Strand Camping.

You can also take a guided tour of Sæby and hear about artists (including the author Henrik Ibsen) who sought peace in our idyllic little coastal town.

North Jutland has extremely diverse culture to offer. The local museums have world-class art, Aalborg has international architecture, and the local castles and churches are in a class of their own.

Grenen - the tip of North Jutland

Skagen and not least Grenen are known in Denmark and abroad and are therefore a popular tourist destination.

If you like lots of people, restaurants, museums and shopping, you can go on a day trip (possibly in week 29, which is called the little Hellerup week) to Denmark's northernmost point, which is located 50 km from Hedebo Strand Camping.

Frederikshavn and Palm Beach

People come from far and wide to visit Denmark's only palm beach, which is located a few kilometers from Hedebo Strand Camping. In fact, some of the palm trees sleep over winter here with us...

So if you don't want to swim in the Kattegat near us or in our water park with, among other things, the 20 m high surf hill, you can take a trip to Frederikshavn.

Aalborg - Denmark's smallest big city

Aalborg is the capital of North Jutland and is in a league of its own. This small city offers a very special atmosphere and experiences for young and old: museums as well as historical monuments and buildings. World-class architecture, a zoo, art and a variety of restaurants.

Plus a wide range of shopping opportunities, cozy cobbled streets, the relaxing Fjordpark and an inviting and lively beach promenade.
